About StuStandUp
Munich's student standup comedy club
The Story
StuStandUp was born in November 2025 when a small group of students at Studentenstadt München decided that what the campus was missing was a comedy club.
We started with a circle of chairs in a common room and a dream. A few months later, we were filling Kade with laughter on a monthly basis. Students from every faculty, every background, and every sense of humor found a home here.
Today, StuStandUp runs Comedy Shows — proper curated evenings with student performers on stage — and Comedy Meetups — relaxed gatherings where anyone can try the mic or just enjoy the vibe.
What We Stand For
Student Voice
Many performers are students and the whole event is run by students.
Open to Everyone
You don't have to be funny to come. You don't have to speak German. You don't even have to try the mic. Just show up.
Kade Spirit
We perform at Kade, the legendary club in the Studentenstadt basement. There's something magic about that room — and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Comedy Culture
We want to build a real comedy culture at LMU, TUM, and beyond. Shows, workshops, open mics — this is just the beginning.
Kade
Kade is the legendary club and bar in the basement of the Max-Kade-Haus Vorbau (MKH Vorbau) in Studentenstadt München. For decades, it's been the beating heart of student nightlife in Bogenhausen.
It's a space with character — exposed walls, warm lighting, and an atmosphere that somehow makes every comedy show feel like an underground secret club. We love it unironically.
